MIAMI, Nov. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — goTRG, a supply chain business solutions and SaaS company based in Miami, partnered with Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) and Miami Beach Police Athletic League (PAL) for a bicycle build and giveaway November 9-10, 2018. School children and families in Miami Beach received the bikes to support those in need in the community.

Over 200 bikes were donated by goTRG for the event, as well as future bike build and giveaways in the surrounding Miami-Dade area. Team members from goTRG and the Miami Beach Police Athletic League (PAL) built the bikes on November 9, 2018 at the James Smith Community Room in Miami Beach.
“An event where we get to hand out such a special and fundamental childhood item, such as a bike is what makes our work and sacrifices at the Miami Beach Police Athletic League, PAL worthwhile,” Officer Arthur Martineau, Executive Director of PAL said. “It’s as if we get to be a part of that child’s life in the most special way. It is the epitome of why we do what we do, following our mission of, ‘Building the Bond between Cops, Kids, and the Community.'”
The bike giveaway on November 10, 2018 was held in front of the Miami Beach Police Department with children and families of Miami Beach in attendance. The goTRG team, MBPD officers, and PAL officers and volunteers were on hand to greet and giveaway bikes.
“We are so grateful to goTRG for making a dream come true for some of our local youth who might never have owned a bicycle,” MBPD Chief Dan Oates said. “It was very special to see their smiles of joy as a police officer handed them their own new bicycle. A great moment and a perfect way to build police-community trust.”
The bike build and giveaway is one of many local community outreach events goTRG has done in 2018, part of the commitment the company made in order to give back and support the community they live and work in.
